Rotaract Club, HKUSU
Being an international service club, Rotaract Club of The University of Hong Kong, HKUSU is one of the university-based Rotaract Clubs in Hong Kong. It is sponsored by Rotary Club of Hong Kong and was chartered in 1969. We are devoted to provide our club members and students in HKU with opportunities to serve the needs of the community we live in, as well as to enhance their personal development and to build better relations with people worldwide. Our work can be mainly divided into four avenues, namely Club Service, Community Service, International Service and Professional Development.
“Journey towards Love” is our theme this year. Owing to the service nature of our Club, our ultimate goal is to bring love to people around, regardless of individual differences. Rotaract Club, HKUSU, not only strives to serve in the local scale, but also, crosses national boundaries to spread warmth and love to those abroad, as in our international service trips.
The theme selected is with close relations to our element this year, hot air balloon. Our choice of theme colour is sky blue, it brings out the approachable side of a service club. Our acts of serving the needy in the world resemble us travelling on the hot air balloon in the boundless sky, exerting our influence and delivering our love to people around.
